Slovak Design Center
Logo for Slovak Design Center, the leading Slovak organization in the field of design. Among its main activities is to investigate, evaluate and clarify the impact of design in society and, on the basis of scientific research, to systematically collect, protect, expertly process and make available objects of cultural value from the field of design, applied art, architecture, and related disciplines.
The logo is a redesign of the concept developed by designer Emil Drličiak in 2011. The original serif typeface Doko was replaced by the sans-serif typeface Setup Grotesk, the architecture and layout logic of characters contained in the logo were rationalized, simplified rules of usage were developed, and the design principle of the main logo was expanded into a complex system of logos for all workplaces and activities of the Slovak Design Center.
