About

Display typeface exploring the limits of weight.

Klimax is a conceptual, experimental humanist sans-serif typeface primarily intended for display use consisting of 4 styles including italics, with high contrast, wide width, and large x-height.

Klimax supports Basic Latin and Extended Latin and covers over 100 languages. With total of 1176 glyphs, it includes the default set of proportional lining figures along with superscript figures, subscript figures, and fractions for advanced numerical setting. Additional features like standard ligatures, discretionary ligatures, small capitals, all small capitals, case sensitive forms, and subscript figures allow for further customization and versatility.

Even though the Plus and Minus styles of Klimax are optical opposites, they share similar metrics and kerning, so they can be easily interchanged in a body of text without significant change of its length.

The counters and white spaces of Klimax Plus reveal the inner construction within its black shapes and their thickness is exactly the same as the monolinear strokes of Klimax Minus. Klimax includes true cursive for both weights. The ends of italic strokes are curved, with protruding terminals, which gives it a softer and more decorative feel, with calligraphic characteristics.
