About

A friendly monospace.

Monoxil Pro is a friendly monospaced sans-serif typeface intended for versatile use consisting of 16 styles ranging from Hair to Black including italics, with low contrast, natural width, and large x-height.

Monoxil Pro supports Basic Latin and Extended Latin and covers over 100 languages. With total of 554 glyphs, it includes the default set of tabular lining figures along with superscript figures, subscript figures, and fractions for advanced numerical setting. Additional features like stylistic set 1–3, standard ligatures, case sensitive forms, and ordinals allow for further customization and versatility.

Monoxil Pro is a new and expanded version of the original Monoxil typeface, which was inspired by the aesthetics of medical typography and design, created as part of a two-week school project. Compared to the original Monoxil, its new version is less mechanical and has a pleasant, approachable character.

For characters that are usually compressed (m, w) or expanded (i, l) in a standard monospace typeface in order to fill the fixed space designated for each character, Monoxil Pro also includes stylistic variants with proportional width, which results in smoother text setting, while preserving the monospace expression.
