Fulla Generator is an online application which, based on the entered name, generates a digital portrait inspired by Slovak modernist artist Ľudovít Fulla’s drawings made between 1959–1960. Although his works from this period may not be his most characteristic, they were chosen as model for pragmatic reasons — their schematism and stylization, simple linear drawing underlined with seemingly unrelated color fields, are relatively easily digitally replicable.
The generator’s algorithm transforms the entered name into a set of 60 parameters, which it then visualizes in the form of a male or female portrait, each portrait being unique.
